DRDH461 is a two storey home for a web designer, his wife and their growing family. The owners wished to preserve existing trees while creating opportunities for ample daylighting and unique views throughout the residence. The interior living and sleeping areas are concieved as a stand-alone rectangular volume around which cedar clad elements are arranged to provide areas of storage, access and respite.

Entry occurs at the east side of the residence, providing glimpses of the adjacent spaces above and below and access to the public level containing living, dining, stair and kitchen. Above and below are sleeping quarters with access to an exterior patio above the garage via the second floor master bedroom / living area.
